PRIMARY SCHOOL AFTER HOURS AND VACATION CARE
Our Star Club program offers before and after school care in 6 Catholic Primary Schools in the Eastern Suburbs. In addition, we offer Vacation Care to all our out of school hours care students which is based at St Agnes’ Primary School, Matraville.
At Star Club we aim to create a welcoming space for the children where they can feel a sense of belonging. Play, sport and relaxation are set within a social context and are valued as a means for children to explore, imagine, create and achieve. Educators aim to work in partnership with children, families and school staff to provide a stimulating, enjoyable and purposeful program.
Star Club values the positive influence which peer and adult role models have on our children. Educators play an active role in facilitating children’s learning and recreational experiences. Children are encouraged to develop confident self-identities and positive interactions amongst peers.
Star Club educators strive to meet the outcomes of the National Quality Framework for School Age Care, “My Time Our Place”, in a high quality, achievable manner. Experiences are based on children’s interests and include creative activities, sport, games, drama, music, dance, construction, cooking homework and outdoor play.
Children will be encouraged to complete some of their homework during homework sessions, however Star Club aims to provide a positive balance with fitness and sport, recreation, relaxation, social interaction, music, movement and drama.
